Providers & Scheduling
Blocked Times & Recurring Patterns
Blocking Time Off
Blocked times remove availability for specific dates or recurring patterns. Use them for vacations, meetings, or regular days off.
One-Off Blocked Dates
Select a specific date to block. The provider will have no available slots that day, regardless of their weekly schedule.
Recurring Patterns
For regular unavailability, use recurring patterns:
- WEEKLY:MON — blocks every Monday
- WEEKLY:WED — blocks every Wednesday
- BIWEEKLY:FRI — blocks every other Friday
- MONTHLY:1:MON — blocks the first Monday of each month
- MONTHLY:3:THU — blocks the third Thursday of each month
How Blocking Works
Blocked times take priority over weekly availability. If a provider has a Monday 9am-5pm time block but also a WEEKLY:MON recurring block, no Monday slots will be available.
For one-off blocks, only the specific date is affected. The provider’s regular weekly schedule resumes the following week.
Tip: Use BIWEEKLY patterns for providers who alternate schedules. Combine with WEEKLY patterns for complex schedules (e.g., WEEKLY:WED blocks every Wednesday, BIWEEKLY:FRI blocks alternating Fridays).
