Managing Appointments After Booking

After booking, patients receive a confirmation email with a unique management link. This link lets them view, reschedule, or cancel their appointment without logging in.

Phone Verification

For security, patients must verify their identity by entering the last 4 digits of the phone number they used when booking. After 5 failed attempts, access is locked for 1 hour.

What Patients Can Do

  • View — see appointment details (date, time, provider, type)
  • Reschedule — pick a new date and time using an inline calendar and slot picker
  • Cancel — cancel with a confirmation prompt

Rescheduling

When a patient reschedules:

  1. They select a new date and time from available slots
  2. The old appointment is cancelled and a new one is created
  3. A new confirmation email is sent with a fresh management link
  4. Calendar events are updated (if calendar sync is connected)

Past Appointments

Past, cancelled, and no-show appointments appear in a read-only section. Patients can see the details but cannot modify them.

Tip: The management link is unique per appointment and changes on reschedule. Patients should use the most recent email for the current link.
