Confirmation Emails & SMS

Keeping Patients Informed

Chimera sends confirmation messages when patients book, reschedule, or when you need to communicate appointment details.

Email Confirmations

Every booking and reschedule triggers a confirmation email that includes:

  • Appointment date and time
  • A link to manage the appointment (view, reschedule, cancel)
  • Your clinic logo (if uploaded)
  • For video appointments: a “Join Zoom Meeting” button

Emails are sent from notify.tirion.dev and are PHI-free (no patient health information in the email body, just scheduling details).

SMS Confirmations

If the patient opted in to SMS during booking, a text confirmation is sent with the date and time. SMS messages are:

  • PHI-free (date and time only, no health details)
  • Consent-gated (only sent if patient checked the opt-in box)
  • Sent from a verified toll-free number

Reply-To

Confirmation emails set the reply-to address to your clinic’s email, so if a patient replies to the confirmation, it goes directly to your clinic.

Tip: Make sure your clinic email is set correctly in Settings. It’s the reply-to address for all patient communications.
