Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Chimera

Getting your clinic’s online booking up and running takes just a few minutes. Here’s what to do after signing up.

Step 1: Complete Onboarding

After creating your account, the onboarding wizard walks you through the essential setup:

  • Clinic details — name, phone number, address, and timezone
  • Your first provider — add at least one practitioner with their name and minimum advance booking hours
  • Availability — set weekly time blocks for when your provider is available (e.g., Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)

Step 2: Create Appointment Types

Go to Settings and scroll to Appointment Types. Create the services you offer:

  • Label — what patients see (e.g., “New Patient Exam”, “Cleaning”)
  • Duration — how long the appointment takes in minutes
  • Mode — in-person, phone, or video
  • Slug — auto-generated URL-friendly name

Step 3: Verify Your Email

Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link. Your booking page won’t go live until your email is verified.

Step 4: Share Your Booking Page

Once verified, your booking page is live at your unique URL. Find it in Settings under Booking URL. You can also:

  • Copy the direct link to share via email or social media
  • Use the embeddable “Book Now” button code for your website
  • Download a QR code for printed materials

Tip: Try booking a test appointment yourself to see the patient experience firsthand.
