Booking

Booking Paths Explained

Three Ways to Book

When a patient selects an appointment type, they choose one of three booking paths. Each serves a different need.

Choose a Provider

The patient picks their preferred provider first, then selects a date and time from that provider’s availability. Best for:

  • Returning patients who want to see the same provider
  • Clinics where provider choice matters (e.g., patients have a preferred dentist)

First Available

The system automatically finds the soonest available slot across all eligible providers. The patient sees the next available options without needing to browse. Best for:

  • New patients who don’t have a preference
  • Urgent or routine visits where speed matters
  • Maximizing schedule utilization

Choose a Date

The patient picks a date first, then sees all available providers and their slots for that day. Best for:

  • Patients with date constraints (e.g., “I need a Tuesday”)
  • Comparing provider availability side by side

Tip: All three paths end at the same confirmation flow. The difference is just how patients navigate to their preferred slot.
