Zoom Video Meetings

When Zoom is connected and a patient books a video appointment type, Chimera automatically creates a Zoom meeting and includes the join link in the confirmation email.

Setup

  1. Go to Apps in the dashboard
  2. Click Zoom Meetings
  3. Click Connect to start the OAuth flow
  4. Authorize Chimera to create meetings on your behalf

How It Works

  • Patient books a video appointment type
  • Chimera creates a Zoom meeting via the API
  • The meeting URL is stored on the appointment and included in the confirmation email
  • If the appointment is cancelled, the Zoom meeting is automatically deleted

In the Dashboard

Video appointments show a purple badge and a “Join Zoom Meeting” link in the appointment list. Staff can click to join directly.

Note: Zoom integration is in beta while the app is pending Zoom Marketplace review. It currently works for accounts under the developer’s Zoom organization.

Tip: Make sure you’ve created at least one appointment type with mode set to “Video” before connecting Zoom. The integration only activates for video-mode types.
